At Infragistics, customer focus is deeply ingrained in our culture. Our continuous dialog with SharePlus users has generated countless feature requests. We’ve decided to craft SharePlus releases in a theme-based manner. Each release will focus on a group of related features, or theme. While features that may not fit into the given theme will still be introduced based on priority, the majority of features will be theme-related.
The theme for the SharePlus 3.2 release is “Social Networking.” The following is a summary of the new key features:

- Ability to search for and add colleagues to your device’s Contacts

My Site Integration
The SharePoint My Site feature provides the following:
- A fully functional SP Site
- Personal storage space within the portal
- Private and public sections
The new My Site integration simplifies keeping your docs in-sync across all of your devices. The first time you connect to your SharePoint site with SharePlus, the application will determine if you have a My Site associated with your credentials. If so, SharePlus will add a “My Site” button to your Home navigation panel for easy access.

My Profile Integration
My Profile integration provides easy read/write access to your profile. A “My Profile” button will be added to your Home navigation bar in the same manner as the “My Site” button.

Search for and add colleagues to your device’s Contacts
By using the Enterprise Search feature, you may now search for a colleague and add them to your device’s native contact list. Information such as email addresses and phone numbers will be saved.
Meeting Workspace Integration
A SharePoint Meeting Workspace is a SharePoint Web site used for aggregating all information and documents for one or more meetings. You may use a Meeting Workspace to keep all of your material in once place. This may include agendas, related documents, objectives, and tasks.

Managed Metadata Integration
While earlier versions of SharePlus provided support for Managed Metadata, version 3.2 of SharePlus provides enhanced integration.
When working with items associated with Managed Metadata in SharePlus, you now have the ability to search for terms associated with a given taxonomy, or to add new terms.
Versioning
Previous versions of SharePlus provided access to the latest version of document. SharePlus 3.2 provides the following new features:
- Browse all document versions
- View previous document versions
- Restore previous document versions
Web to Application Integration
We’ve had countless requests from customers who wanted the ability to email a special link to a SharePoint item which would allow the recipient to open it directly in SharePlus. SharePlus 3.2 delivers a “Web to Application” feature to fulfill these requests.
When “splus” is used in place of “http” on a given SharePoint link, the resource will open in SharePlus upon tap. This eliminates the need for SharePlus users to search for the SharePoint resource within SharePlus. When the link is tapped from any source such as an email, webpage, or note, the item will open directly in SharePlus.
Additionally, when SharePlus is used to email a link to a document, both links are provided in the auto-generated email body:
- Link to open in web browser
- Link to open directly in SharePlus
Security
As with previous releases, security is a top concern. Version 3.2 introduces the following security features:
- Support for ADFS and Claims Based authentication
- Application Passcode lock triggered by idle time
- Authentication Time Bomb
Authentication Time Bomb
This feature allows administrators to enforce server authentication in configurable intervals. For example, you may mandate users to authenticate with their credentials every week. If a user fails to provide valid credentials, all application data will be securely wiped after a configurable amount of failed attempts.
Adding folders to Local Files SharePlus space
SharePlus version 3.2 provides the ability to organize your Local Files space by adding folders. These folders my also be browsed using the WiFi File Sharing feature.
Enhanced Calendar Views
Calendar integration has been enhanced with the addition of new views:
- Month – Improved
- Weekly – New!
- Day – New!
