Hi Everybody!
I’m sure you’ve heard the big news in the mobile apps world. Mobile apps are going to have a rating system, proposed by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), similar to the one in video games.
The ESRB has been rating video games since 1994.
According tothis article in the USAToday.comThe mobile app ratings will include symbols such as “E” for “Everyone” or all ages and “T” for “Teen” or suitable for ages 13 and up.
In addition to these more traditional ratings, the system will also include descriptors detailing whether the app shares personal information or user-generated content, or connects to social networks.
The ESRB expects that providers understand and accept the new rating system, however Apple and Google have not agreed to display the ratings in their respective app stores.
