That’s why we’d like to share a Gigaom.com article (This holiday season shopping has gone mobile in a big way) by Om Malik about the mobile sales data gathered after this Black Friday.
It has a lot of interesting figures but the general scenario is an increase of more than 300% in mobile sales. According to the blog post, PayPal reported a 538% global mobile payment volume increase compared to last year’s Black Friday. More than 6 times as many sales!
Mobile shopping is definitely here to stay and this season is going to be an inflection point in the trend.
